I'm responsible for the entire information system at our company. All the servers, infrastructure, desktops and notebooks are my direct responsibility to manage. I'd like to find a way to monitor our environment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If anything fails or is out of order, an alert should be generated. Ideally, anti-virus and security patches would be included. Since alerts could be generated anytime of the day or night, I'd like someone to review, analyze, and filter the minor alerts from the critical ones. I'd really like someone to take remedial action and fix the problem remotely. In fact, I'd also like to assign routine tasks to be completed remotely to free up more of our time for more important things. I'd really love to have a virtual help desk to support our end user community and make sure our desktops and notebooks have all the protection they deserve.
